New to Glasgow?

Applications are open to students from all universities at Glasgow, from any year group of course. If you’re new to the city or in your first year of university, becoming a Brand Ambassador or model is the perfect way to meet like minded people and students across the city. The chance to work with local brands, venues and creatives across the city is a perfect way to quickly immerse yourself in Glasgow’s famous cultural-creative scene. No experience is necessary and there are countless opportunities to get involved with all aspects of the society. Whatever your career aspirations, becoming a brand ambassador or model acts as a stepping stone into our roles in marketing, events, graphic designs, finance and more!

BRAND AMABASSADORS

What do Brand Ambassadors do?

Our Brand Ambassadors are critical members of the team who act as representatives of GCFS, our charitable partner and our sponsors. Through promotion of GCFS on social media, attendance at fundraising events and assistance with canvassing activities like flyering and stickering around Glasgow, our brand ambassadors are at the forefront of GCFS’s outreach and marketing aims. This promotional help is invaluable to us and, more importantly, to our charitable partner, CHAS. So, if you’re interested in helping make real, impactful change across Glasgow, whilst also getting the chance to meet new people at a range of social fundraising events throughout the year, we want you!

What are the benefits?

Brand ambassadors have exclusive access to a whole range of unique opportunities and society member benefits. You will have access to heavily discounted VIP tickets to the final show, as well as priority access to our other fundraising events like club nights and gigs throughout the year. What’s more, your varied responsibilities as brand ambassador for a professional society help build valuable CV experience that employers love. On top of all this, you can enjoy these benefits secure in the knowledge you are helping children and families keep the joy alive in Children’s Hospices Across Scotland.

MODELS

What do our models do?

Like our brand ambassadors, there would be no show without our models! As a GCFS model, you will get the chance to work with a range of fabulous designers and photographers across Glasgow. Throughout the year, you will model for our creative editorial shoots that showcase some of the designers in iconic locations throughout Glasgow, celebrating the city as much as the designers it inspires. Of course, the highlight of your role will be walking in the fashion show itself. The show is a standout event of the academic year, endlessly heartwarming it is a chance to celebrate the designers, the city and each other, all while raising money for CHAS.

Casting dates

Model castings and interviews will take place on the following dates:

  • Saturday 28th September: Online via Zoom|1-4PM

  • Sunday 29th September: GUU Dining Hall 2-6pm

  • Monday 30th September: GUU Reading Room, UofG|10AM-4PM

  • Tuesday 1st October: The Vic Project Space 1, GSA|10AM-4PM
